Miriam Abbott has been a missionary for over 40 years and has worked with the Macushi Indians in Brazil. She and her mission’s partner, Jane Burns, have translated the New Testament into the Macushi language. They live in South Carolina now and continue to work translating the Bible in other Brazilian tribal languages with other missionaries

Through ABWE, they serve at the Hospital of Hope, providing medical services to a community of millions through northern Togo and nearby countries. Through this effort, they are meeting members of a targeted tribe and developing leaders in a local church plant.
